Greensboro Tree Canopy

At Planning Communities, I developed a Tree Canopy Assessment and Equity Prioritization Platform for Greensboro, NC, to guide strategic tree planting and stewardship efforts. This project emphasized community engagement, education, and the provision of policy and program recommendations. Focused on equity, the initiative produced a community-informed geospatial analysis through an interactive digital platform, furthering Greensboro's goals for sustainability, climate resilience, and environmental justice.
The team utilized local plans, data, and technological tools to assess existing conditions and prioritize actions that benefit vulnerable neighborhoods. The project concluded with the creation of an interactive public StoryMap and Dashboard, available here.
